DRUGS AWARENESS MEETINGS

Today many parents worry about their child becoming involved with drugs. Many youth leaders and coaches are also concerned about young people being exposed to the risks of drugs and substance misuse. However, parents and those working with young people feel they don’t know enough about drugs to help prevent our youth from coming to harm.

In response to these concerns four local GAA Clubs – Clann Eireann, Clan-na-Gael, St. Paul’s and St. Peter’s – working together, have developed a collective and unique strategy. The Clubs have organised a series of information evenings for parents and guardians, aimed at explaining the purpose and content of the strategy and how it will be implemented over the coming months. Details of the information evenings, which should last no more than one hour, are outlined below. No booking is required, simply come along to any of the information sessions.

  • Wednesday 17th June – Clan-na-Gael Club 7.00pm
  • Wednesday 24th June – St. Peter’s Club 7.00pm
  • Wednesday 1st July – Clann Eireann Club 7.00pm
